HYUNDAI WIA is expanding its support for partnering companies to respond to the future of mobility jointly.

On February 2nd, HYUNDAI WIA announced that it will expand its support for its partners by hosting the '2024 Partnership Day' at Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju in Seogwipo City, Jeju Island. The event aims to bring together 120 key suppliers to share HYUNDAI WIA's management vision and growth plans.

During Partnership Day, HYUNDAI WIA committed to strengthening its support for its suppliers. HYUNDAI WIA recognizes the importance of growing with partners to adapt to the rapidly changing future mobility era. As a first step, HYUNDAI WIA plans to expand the Shared Growth Fund to help its partners lay a strong foundation for growth. The Shared Growth Fund is a system that provides low-interest loans to suppliers based on their deposits with financial institutions. Last year, 78 companies used the fund. HYUNDAI WIA plans to increase the number of beneficiary suppliers this year.

This year, the Serious Accidents Punishment Act is applied to workplaces with less than 50 employees, and HYUNDAI WIA plans to enhance safety management and create safer workplaces. As part of this initiative, HYUNDAI WIA will conduct risk assessments in suppliers' workplaces and manufacturing processes and provide improvement consulting services. Moreover, the company plans to establish a safety academy to train suppliers to implement safety management systems independently. Additionally, HYUNDAI WIA will send experts to assist with future administrative processing in case of a safety accident at the partnering companies.

HYUNDAI WIA provides support to its suppliers to aid them in growing their market. The company offers consulting support and covers the expenses required for suppliers to obtain an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Certification. Additionally, HYUNDAI WIA will cover participation fees and travel expenses for suppliers to attend international exhibitions, helping them break into new markets.

During a recent meeting, HYUNDAI WIA discussed its business strategy and upcoming trends in mobility technology with its partnering companies. The company shared details about the core business item, 'Integrated Thermal Management System', by providing updates on its development achievements and future goals. Furthermore, HYUNDAI WIA outlined its strategy for mobility solutions focusing on robots. HYUNDAI WIA recognizes that communication with suppliers is essential for sustainable growth and plans to hold additional meetings with suppliers by industry to foster shared growth.

“To keep up with the rapidly changing mobility industry, it is essential to cooperate and achieve mutual growth. Therefore, all employees will strive to make HYUNDAI WIA a company that can continue to grow alongside its partners,” said an official from HYUNDAI WIA.
