HYUNDAI WIA is enhancing its shared growth programs to strengthen collaboration with suppliers, ensuring a proactive response to the rapidly evolving mobility market.

On February 10, HYUNDAI WIA announced that the company held the '2025 Partnership Day' at Haevichi Hotel & Resort in Seogwipo City, Jeju Island, from February 7 to 8. The event provided a platform for the company to outline its key initiatives for the year and present plans for its shared growth program. HYUNDAI WIA aims to support its partners by fostering technological innovation, expanding market opportunities, and enhancing workplace safety. This annual event serves as an opportunity for HYUNDAI WIA to share its strategic vision with key partners, with 122 companies participating in this year’s gathering.

During the management vision presentation, HYUNDAI WIA introduced plans to enhance technological competitiveness, particularly in thermal management solutions. The company’s immediate focus is on finalizing preparations for the air conditioning module for electric vehicles, which is set to enter mass production in the second half of the year and will be installed in Kia’s PV5. Looking ahead, HYUNDAI WIA plans to expand its market reach with an integrated thermal management system, combining battery and motor thermal management modules with air conditioning modules. Additionally, the company outlined strategies to strengthen global sales, particularly in constant velocity joints and four-wheel drive components, reinforcing its position in the evolving mobility market.

HYUNDAI WIA also outlined plans to enhance quality and profitability. To ensure greater customer satisfaction, the company will take a proactive approach from the earliest stages of development. Additionally, HYUNDAI WIA will conduct a comprehensive review of product profitability at each stage, optimizing cost structures to improve financial performance and strengthen market competitiveness significantly.

Recognizing that mutual growth with suppliers is key to long-term sustainability, HYUNDAI WIA is increasing its support initiatives. The company will further expand the Shared Growth Fund, which provides low-interest loans to suppliers through financial institution-backed deposits. This year, the fund will support 90 companies, reflecting a 10% increase from the previous year, allowing more suppliers to invest in growth and innovation.
HYUNDAI WIA is also committed to helping suppliers in global trade by assisting them in obtaining Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification from the Korea Customs Service. This certification, aligned with World Customs Organization (WCO) standards, enhances the import and export competitiveness of certified companies. Since 2023, HYUNDAI WIA has successfully supported six suppliers in obtaining AEO certification, further strengthening their global trade capabilities.

To address the growing importance of safety and security, HYUNDAI WIA is implementing comprehensive risk management measures for its suppliers. The company will conduct risk assessments and provide safety and health consulting to improve workplace conditions. Additionally, HYUNDAI WIA plans to offer safety training for more than 500 suppliers through the Safety Experiential Lab  S+, which opened last year at Changwon Plant 1. The company will also support suppliers in developing information asset management policies and conduct regular security audits to protect core technologies from external leaks or cyber threats.

“We will actively respond to the rapidly changing mobility era by growing together with our partners, and we will make further efforts to create a sustainable HYUNDAI WIA together,” said an official from HYUNDAI WIA.
