We promote clean and sustainable Earth
HYUNDAI WIA’s Green School
Hyundai WIA is working to minimize environmental impacts caused by exhaust gases and fine dust by creating green spaces at local schools. Since 2019, this initiative has secured greenery at seven schools, including the rooftop garden at Changwon Sungmin Girls' High School in 2024. By planting endangered species such as Korean starwort and Siebold's dropwort, the project contributes to biodiversity conservation while encouraging student participation in landscaping and design. Moving forward, Hyundai WIA plans to plant nectar-bearing trees in forest disaster areas to help preserve more forests and diverse species.
Greent the Planet
This is a citizen-driven environmental awareness campaign designed to highlight the severity of environmental issues caused by the climate crisis and to encourage local community members to take part in actions for a sustainable future. Hyundai WIA offers various experiential programs that are open to all local residents, allowing them to naturally incorporate the importance of addressing the climate crisis into their daily lives. In addition, volunteer activities such as plogging and creating air-purifying plant walls provide meaningful opportunities to practice environmental protection in a tangible way.
1-Company 1-Stream Campaign
We carry out 1-Company 1-Stream Campaign each year around Gaeumjeong Stream in Changwon, Gyeongsangnamdo to improve the water quality of local communities and restore the diversity of the aquatic eco-system. With the participation of employees, we clean up the environment around the stream, remove plants that disturb the eco system, and monitor water quality to create a clean waterfront area.
