HYUNDAI WIA will showcase a wide range of future mobility technologies at the world's most powerful tech exhibition, which will be held in January.

On December 17th, HYUNDAI WIA announced that it will participate in CES 202 6, which will take place from January 6th to 9th at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in the United States. At this exhibition, HYUNDAI WIA will showcase an entirely new automotive thermal management system and driveline components that have not been introduced before. This marks the first time HYUNDAI WIA will participate in CES.
HYUNDAI WIA will organize the exhibition booth under the theme of “Seamless Mobility”. The company plans to exhibit the future of mobility ecosystems with new technologies that have not existed before, including innovations in its main business areas: thermal management systems, driveline components, and robots. In particular, visitors will be able to experience how HYUNDAI WIA’s products will contribute to future mobility.

◆ Unveiling a ‘Future-oriented independent HVAC system’ customized for all passengers
HYUNDAI WIA is unveiling its future-oriented automotive air conditioning system, Distributed HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning), for the first time. The distributed HVAC system uses AI to provide an optimal temperature for every passenger. The AI analyzes each passenger’s body temperature, the external environment, and usual data to independently control the HVAC. In addition, HYUNDAI WIA has reduced the weight of the distributed HVAC by 20% and has secured up to 60mm of cabin space compared to traditional HVAC systems.

At CES, HYUNDAI WIA will also showcase a “Thermal Management Demonstration Vehicle ” where visitors can experience the next-generation thermal management technologies. When visitors get into the vehicle, their body temperature is detected, allowing them to experience personalized, optimal air conditioning. In this demonstration vehicle, visitors can try out a new heating system that uses radiant heat, providing a sensation similar to Korea’s traditional floor heating system, Ondol.

◆ Releasing next-generation driveline components designed to revolutionize automotive steering
At CES, HYUNDAI WIA is showcasing a range of next-generation driveline components that will bring significant innovation  to automotive steering. The most notable among them is the ‘Dual Constant Velocity Joint (Dual C.V.Joint), which HYUNDAI WIA has developed for the first time in the world. This component features two constant velocity joints connected in series to deliver driving forces to the wheels, dramatically expanding the maximum steering angle. With this innovative component, the steering angle is dramatically increased, making U-turns possible even in tight spaces.

HYUNDAI WIA is also unveiling the “Active Roll Stabilizer (ARS)”, which minimizes a vehicle’s body roll on curved roads. This is the first time that the robotics technology known as “Series Elastic Actuator (SEA)” has been applied to vehicle control. By utilizing SEA, HYUNDAI WIA’s product can detect subtle changes and vibrations in the road surface, enabling more precise vehicle control.

HYUNDAI WIA is also exhibiting the “Wheel Disconnect System (WDS),” which can disconnect the electric vehicle's drive axle from the wheels as needed. This component reduces unnecessary energy loss while driving, thereby maximizing electric efficiency and increasing driving range. In particular, HYUNDAI WIA has enhanced the system to distribute torque more precisely while minimizing noise and vibration.

◆ Strengthening networking with global customers and talent
Through CES, HYUNDAI WIA is taking steps to strengthen its networking with global customers. To this end, the company is setting up two Networking Zones within its booth where it can engage with customers. HYUNDAI WIA plans to focus its customized sales strategy for global mobility companies on its long-standing constant velocity joints, next-generation driveline components, and integrated thermal management systems.

Additionally, alongside the main event, HYUNDAI WIA is running a dedicated recruitment program at CES to attract global talent. The goal is to strengthen research capabilities in next-generation mobility components and robotics by recruiting talented individuals currently attending top engineering schools in the United States. For this, HYUNDAI WIA has been conducting preliminary interviews with global candidates for several months to assess job suitability before extending invitations.

“At CES 2026, we will fully showcase HYUNDAI WIA’s next-generation mobility technologies,” adding, “Visitors will be able to experience everything from HVAC systems to driveline components for future vehicles at our exhibition booth,” said an official from HYUNDAI WIA.
