HYUNDAI WIA is embarking on shared growth initiative with its partners.
On March 9 , HYUNDAI WIA announced that it had held the ‘2026 Partnership Day’ to share business strategies and vision on March 6-7 at Haevichi Hotel & Resort in Seogwipo -si, Jeju-do. Partnership Day is an annual event where HYUNDAI WIA and its 123 key partners gather to explore ways to achieve sustainable, shared growth. HYUNDAI WIA holds Partnership Day in Jeju-do at the beginning of each year.
HYUNDAI WIA held this year’s Partnership Day under the theme of ‘Our Journey Together Makes a Bigger Future”, highlighting its goal of strengthening its competency and grow with partner s. CEO Kwon O Sung of HYUNDAI WIA emphasized in his opening speech, saying that “Behind the HYUNDAI WIA’s success of over the past 50 years are our trusted partners. Our partners have gone beyond a simple business relationship, and as true collaborators who contemplate technology together, overcome challenges, and share achievements, have built the HYUNDAI WIA of today.”
HYUNDAI WIA said it will first establish technological leadership together with its partner companies. To this end, the company plans to collaborate with partners from the product planning stage, joint development and cost innovation in mass production. In particular, HYUNDAI WIA will accelerate its digital transformation by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI). By utilizing AI, the company aims to shorten development periods and fundamentally prevent potential errors in production and quality processes.
HYUNDAI WIA will also strengthen educational support to assist its partners in AI transformation and technological advancement. Through the Hyundai Motor Group Global Shared Growth Cooperation Center, the company will provide various practical training programs that can be directly applied in their work. At this year’s Partnership Day, HYUNDAI WIA invited Professor Park Hee joon from the Department of Industrial Engineering at Yonsei University to deliver a lecture on AI to help partners enhance their AI and digital transformation capabilities.
In addition, HYUNDAI WIA will further expand its shared growth programs. The company will first utilize a KRW 68 billion shared growth fund to provide low-interest loans to partner companies. For small and medium-sized partners with annual sales of less than KRW 100 billion, HYUNDAI WIA will make all payments in cash and provide early payments ahead of national holidays.
HYUNDAI WIA will also support its partners in strengthening safety management. By utilizing the Safety Experience Lab“S+” located at its headquarters in Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, partner employees will be able to receive safety training. The company will also offer consulting services to diagnose and enhance safety level at partner workplaces.
Furthermore, HYUNDAI WIA will assist partners in expanding their sales channels to enhance competitiveness. The company plans to support participation costs for overseas exhibitions and cover expenses related to obtaining the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification from the Korea Customs Service to improve export and import processes. The AEO certification is a program under which the Korea Customs Service selects outstanding companies in accordance with the World Customs Organization (WCO) standards for import and export safety management, helping them strengthen their global trade competitiveness.
