HYUNDAI WIA is stepping up efforts to enhance Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities across its workforce. The company plans to accelerate its transition to AX (AI Transformation).
On April 13, HYUNDAI WIA announced that it conducts AX Literacy Training for all office and R&D employees until July. Approximately 2,000 employees at its headquarters in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, and its R&D center in Uiwang -si, Gyeonggi-do participate. The training is conducted offline in around 50 sessions across regions.
The AX Literacy training was designed to help employees understand the fundamentals of generative AI and apply the technology to their work. Key contents of the program include: ▲ Understanding the basic concepts of generative AI and LLM ▲ Learning the fundamentals of prompt engineering ▲ Utilizing AI for document summaries, data analysis and draft planning ▲ Developing and applying generative AI-utilized scenarios based on their job responsibilities. HYUNDAI WIA also encourages to apply AI to their jobs and improve work efficiency by sharing the outcomes.
HYUNDAI WIA has enabled all employees to directly utilize generative AI in their work through ‘H-CHAT’, an AI tool developed by Hyundai Motor Group. The platform allows users to choose from various AI models depending on their tasks and situations. It also enables employees to perform task automation and data analysis using natural language. The company plans to continue discovering innovative use cases and establish a culture that all employees can work more efficiently using AI.
HYUNDAI WIA also operates various AI learning programs for AX. The ‘Learning Lab’ to cultivate AI data analysis expert is the representative example. HYUNDAI WIA aims to increase the number of employees certified in the Hyundai Motor Group Data Analytics Test (HDAT) through this program. In addition, online training is provided so that the employees can catch up to date with the AI trends and use cases at any time . The company also plans to segment the training programs based on their levels of AI proficiency and provide advance course for complex tasks such as R&D.
HYUNDAI WIA will further enhance its support system so that all employees can efficiently utilize AI as a practical work tool. “T his AX Literacy training session was introduced to help employees better understand of generative AI and apply it to their work. We will continue to strengthen AI capabilities to improve work productivity and execution, while systematically advancing AX,” said an official from HYUNDAI WIA.
